Opens the Cursor app and offers LinkedMCP.

Accept the MCP in the Cursor prompt.

Open Claude
We fill name + MCP URL in Add custom connector.

Create the connector
Confirm LinkedMCP in the Claude dialog.

Turn the connector on, then ask about LinkedIn.
Needs the public HTTPS URL (linkedmcp.xyz), not localhost.

Copy the command
It adds LinkedMCP over HTTP.

Paste in a terminal
Run it where the Claude Code CLI is installed.

Restart if needed
Quit Claude Code fully if tools look stale.

Turn on Developer mode
Settings → Security and login → Developer mode. Do this first or the next link does nothing useful.

Go to Plugins
chatgpt.com/plugins — not Settings.

Browse Plugins
Scroll to the bottom and click Browse Plugins. The + is not on the catalog itself.

Hit +
That opens the create-connector dialog. Open Plugins jumps you here after Developer mode. Name it LinkedMCP and paste the MCP URL — we copy it for you.

Finish OAuth
Log in with the same LinkedMCP account.

Enable it in a chat
New chat → tools menu → LinkedMCP.
Not on free ChatGPT or mobile. Custom MCP is hidden until Developer mode is on. Writes are most reliable on Business / Enterprise / Edu.

What to say
Connect LinkedIn · what’s in my inbox · who do I need to reply to? · anything new? · look up a linkedin.com/in/ URL · am I connected to these people? · send a connection · send InMail · show usage · invite a teammate. Confirm message wording before the agent sends. invite is a teammate on this workspace, not a LinkedIn invite.
Quotas
Each LinkedIn plan has safe daily/monthly caps (messages, profile views, search, connection requests, InMail). get_usage shows what is left. The agent warns around 80%. At 100% it needs you to accept going over. Character limits cannot be overridden. “Anything new?” does not spend the messages quota.
